Katie Lin (she/they) is a New York-based artist currently studying at the School of Visual Arts and is expected to graduate in May. Inspired by personal life experiences, Katie transforms these moments into bizarre, humorous, and narrative-driven illustrations. Influenced by Cubist and Futurist elements, Katie uses geometric shapes and a clean color palette to convey a sense of energy and speed in their characters. Although most of Katie’s work is created digitally, the pencil-like strokes add a spontaneous and organic quality to the mechanical visuals. In the future, Katie would love to take on opportunities to collaborate with art directors through editorial illustrations, picture book illustrations, book cover designs, and surface design.
